The ACE's Crisis in California: The Impact of Covid and Implications for Overdose Prevention

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's) have a proven connection to long term health and well-being and have been a focus in California for a long time. However, there are also “secondary ACEs”, or Adverse Community Experiences/Environments, that exacerbate the traumatic stress response among children. This webinar will explore how COVID has impacted both types of ACEs, the implications for our work in overdose prevention, and some strategies to consider to help support children and youth moving forward.
