PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact (CHLI) is pleased to announce our upcoming COPN Accelerator 6.0 cohort program for local multi-sector teams and coalitions. Accelerator 6.0 is designed to help your coalition develop a customized messaging plan to advance overdose prevention in your community. The program is structured to support your coalition’s efforts to develop strong messaging and strengthen your partnerships, build buy-in from local stakeholders, advance innovative interventions, and manage pushback.
Our approach
Using a guided process, your team will apply principles of strategic communications to fortify your coalition’s overdose and substance use prevention goals. Guided tools, facilitated workshops, and technical assistance provided by subject matter experts will enable your team to meet your coalition’s specific needs while also providing an opportunity to learn from other communities across California.
This program will offer:
Monthly virtual workshops
Learning group sessions with peer coalitions
Customized tools and resources
Program portal
Two virtual convenings
Guided process for local messaging project

Receive a $15,000 mini grant for your team to implement an applied project to advance your coalition's messaging and communication efforts.
Who should be on my team?
A team of 4-6 individuals representing multiple organizations/sectors (i.e., government, health care, business, harm reduction, behavioral health, etc.).
Your team can represent an informal collaborative, local coalition, or other stakeholders who want to work together to address overdose prevention in your community.
What is expected of participants?
10-month commitment (Jan through Oct 2025).
4-6 hours per month.
Participation in all program activities including monthly workshops, guided tools, coach calls, and biannual virtual convenings.
What is the application process and timeline?
Applications released: Wednesday, October 16
Applications due: Friday, November 22
Teams notified of selection: Thursday, December 12
2-hour program launch webinar: Tuesday, January 21, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm PT
